September 18, 2008 News CASMA INTRODUCES RSS FEEDS AND E-MAIL ALERTS MONTREAL, Quebec, September 18, 2008 — The Canadian Asphalt Shingle Manufacturers’ Association (CASMA) now provides immediate access to updated Technical Bulletins and Industry News via their website. Visitors to the association’s website may subscribe to the free RSS feed or e-mail broadcast service to receive automatic alerts of new content. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader". This software automatically delivers a summarized version of any updated website content. Subscribing to and reading RSS feeds now is an option added to many up-to-date Internet browsers. To add the RSS feed, all you have to do is click on the RSS button at the bottom of any Technical Bulletin or Industry News page, and follow your RSS reader's instructions. That's it. Whenever there is an update, your reader will alert you. The feeds for Technical Bulletins and for Industry News are both separate, so you will have to sign up for either or both, depending on your preference. We have also included the option to subscribe via e-mail. Once subscribed, you will receive an e-mail alert whenever there is an update to a Technical Bulletin or Industry News article. We value your privacy and will keep your e-mail address strictly confidential. You can opt-out of this service at any time. For more information on RSS feeds, click here. Return to Industry News |
